Corazón Puro is an organization that awakens and accompanies leaders, especially Hispanics, in areas of great need. It was founded in 2008 in the South Bronx by Fr. Agustino Torres and Odet Bisonó after seeing the great need in the Latino/Hispanic youth and young adults. It is in essence a chastity ministry that forms the young person to be a missionary disciple. Inspired by the life and theology of Pope St. John Paul II. Corazón Puro forms leaders to be Christ-centered, joy-filled agents of change in their areas of influence. These missionary leaders then empower other youth and young adults to live the fullness of life in authentic love and inner freedom through an intense relationship with Jesus Christ and service to their community. Corazón Puro currently has four affiliates in the US and seven internationally (Philippines, Nicaragua (4), Costa Rica (2).
